July 13
Camp7.QLD.xxx, at Apple Tree Creek
Good road side camp, road noise, limited sites

July 14-16
Inskip Point, near Rainbow Beach
Superb unstructured camp area. $5.50 per person per night

July 17-22
Harbour View Caravan Park, Hervey Bay
OK park, small sites, good facilities
Recommendation: Instead of the harbour side, stay at Torquay or Scarness Beachside Caravan Parks.  Try to make sure that you do not have a site that backs onto the road - too noisy.  If you are prepared to pay extra and book ahead try to get a beachside site.

July 23-August 8
Cotton Tree Holiday Park, Maroochydore
Very good park, but expensive.  River beach frontage one side of park, ocean beach on adjacent side.  Close to shops.  Good facilities.

August 9-12
Bribie Island Caravan Park, Woorim
Fairly old but kept in excellent condition.  200 m from surf beach and small shopping centre (coffee shops, bakery, pharmacy, IGA, pub, etc).
Well worth a visit if you come to Bribie Island.
Bribie Island also has lots of bush camping but you cannot take a caravan and it is suggested that you have a high clearance 4WD.

August 13-16
Stayed with my sister at Paradise Point on the Gold Coast.

August 17-19
Drifters Holiday Village, Chinderah
Quality park, not many powered caravan sites, 600 m from beach. Very close to north-south motorway.

Excellent new facilities. Short walk to beach.

August 22-23
NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Park, Arrawarra (Coffs Harbour)
First class caravan park.  Huge sites, excellent amenities. Many trees.
Adjacent beach, golf course, bowls, restaurant, pool, etc.
Probably one of the best 5 caravan parks we have ever stayed at.

Superb free camp site.  Toilets. Clearing in forest. Fires permitted. Three km of dirt road.
